DR. ABDEL RAOUF is the Head of the international Arbitration Group at ABDEL RAOUF LAW FIRM, Cairo-Egypt and an Associate Professor at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, specializing in international arbitration and ADR for the settlement of commercial, investment and sports-related disputes.

 

Acted as counsel as well as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chairperson of arbitral tribunals in numerous international arbitrations (institutional and ad hoc). He is a member of the Advisory Board and former Vice President of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and member of the Advisory Committee of the CRCICA, Egypt’s Alternate Member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, Member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), an Arbitrator listed in the Panel of Arbitrators of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), a Conciliator designated by the President of the World Bank Group to serve on the Panel of Conciliators maintained by the ICSID, a CEDR Accredited Mediator and former Chair of the Egypt Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
