Barrister Nudrat B. Majeed is qualified in both Pakistan and England. After receiving academic legal training at Balliol College, Oxford, London School of Economics and Lincoln's Inn, she specialised in international arbitration and litigation with Mr. Johnny Veeder QC and Mr. Toby T. Landau KC. With an additional academic degree in Arabic, she acts as counsel in Common Law as well as Islamic Law matters. Her commercial and civil law practice in Pakistan unusually extends to criminal work as well. The success of her dispute-disposal rate is, in part, because of her skill in combining multiple modes of ADR and utilizing her extensive association with government personnel / law enforcement and regulatory bodies. Alongside legal practice, she lectures widely from England and France to Yemen and Pakistan.
Barrister Ms. Nudra will talk about the legal and wider political dynamics of commercial relations between the Pakistan and KSA and the region generally. From her experience in commercial recoveries, she will talk about how understanding culturo-legal nuances in dispute resolution can help overcome executive obstacles and judicial delays in enforcement / execution of judgments and foreign arbitral awards.
